OBITUARY FOR DANIEL P. ALVIDREZ, JR.
Daniel was born on December 10, 1954 in Tucson, AZ, to Daniel M. Alvidrez Sr., and Dora (Provencio) Alvidrez. Daniel passed away suddenly on March 11, 2018. Danny’s passing was so unexpected, and he will be greatly missed by all of his family, particularly his mother, Dora; son Andrew; daughter Alea Janosko (Joey); granddaughter, Norah Janosko; fiancé Gayle Goller; sisters Gloria Dominguez (Elias), Yolanda Watson (Jim), Barbara Aragon (Abe); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel Sr.
Danny was a graduate of Tucson High School where he played in the 1971-72 state championship football team. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and retired after 25 years of service. His hobbies were: growing his own vegetables, cooking, and playing and caring for his only granddaughter. He was a handyman who worked on his house from the bottom up. He always had a project to complete.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23 at Abbey Funeral Chapel, 3435 N. 1st Ave, Tucson, from 5 to 5:45 PM with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:45 PM and the Funeral Service beginning at 6 PM. Burial will be private. Abbey Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
